Practising clean carton recycling to promote resource circularity
HKSAR, China, 3 May 2024 – Vitasoy International Holdings Limited (“Vitasoy”) organised the Beverage Carton Clean Recycling Recognition Scheme 2023 with the support and participation of 460 groups and organisations across Hong Kong, including schools, community recycling centres, housing estates, shopping malls and retail chains. The Programme aimed to educate and encourage the public to engage in beverage carton clean recycling. Through the collective efforts of the participants, nearly 500 dedicated recycling bins were set up in the community, resulting in the collection of over 50,000 kilograms of clean beverage cartons. After processing, collected cartons can be transformed into other everyday items.

Trophies made from recycled carton paper pulp symbolise sustainability concept
To make the action of clean carton recycling more meaningful, Vitasoy collaborated with local social welfare organisations to produce trophies and award certificates using the pulp separated from the collected beverage cartons in the community, turning the concept of sustainable development and circular economy into reality.
