Extending its Recycling Initiatives Beyond Beverage Cartons

(Hong Kong, 21 July 2023) – Vitasoy Hong Kong ("Vitasoy" or the “Company”) collaborates with The Billie Upcycling with their patented system – The Billie system, to launch its first upcycled tote bag that is made from used staff uniforms, a step to extend its recycling initiative beyond beverage cartons.
Sustainability is at the heart of Vitasoy. Over the year, Vitasoy has been actively exploring new initiatives that further encourage sustainable movement in the industry. The Company is glad to partner with The Billie System to help successfully transform used staff uniforms into brand new totes and breathes new life into textiles. The Billie System is the result of a collaboration between Novetex and the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA). With its innovative technology, the recycling system helps turn used uniforms into fibres ready for upcycling without water consumption and hazardous discharge throughout the process. Going forward, Vitasoy will continue its commitment to sustainability, and aims to advocate to the world’s transformation towards a more sustainable future.
